Kathryn Redwood, a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist, is a seasoned clinician with over 26 years of experience gained in not-for-profit agencies, corporate managed care, school-based counseling, and private practice in both Southern and Northern California. Her respectful, empathetic approach encourages, coaches, and/or teaches self sufficiency.

Kathryn enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families. She has a Family Systems orientation that is supportive and solution focused. With children, Kathryn specializes in Play Therapy and uses sandplay, games, and art to gain access to the child's world. She draws from a wealth of training and experience for her work in couples therapy and couples counseling. In addition, Kathryn is also a Certified Hypnotherapist, which she is able to skillfully utilize when needed or specifically requested.

Kathryn is a certified member of Foundation for Medical Care and is able to take insurance plans covered under that umbrella. She is currently pursuing enrollment in other insurance panels. She will soon be a MediCal provider through Mendocino County Mental Health. Kathryn maintains a percentage of her practice for sliding scale clients.

In the near future, Kathryn will be offering support groups, classes, and workshops on a variety of topics.
